The symbol represents the new spirit and dynamics of Antasari State Islamic University. The visual concept of the Antasari State Islamic University symbol is based on the vision and mission. The symbol is a depiction of a “river of knowledge” built through a combination of 5 design elements: dome, river flow, pen, atomic particle and globe with the following philosophical meanings:
Dome, symbolizes the breadth, spaciousness, and openness of UIN Antasari and all its academic community in organizing Islamic education that is superior, competitive and moral;
River Flow, indicates the existence of UIN Antasari which is located in Banjarmasin which has many rivers and is known as the city of a thousand rivers;
Pen, the river flow that transforms into a pen shape illustrates UIN Antasari’s efforts and consistency to channel and teach knowledge that is beneficial to the nation and state. A river of knowledge;
Atomic Particles, symbolizes knowledge. UIN Antasari as a future university that always develops, conducts research and innovates and explores knowledge;
Globe,
symbolizes globalization. The globe in the middle symbolizes UIN Antasari’s focus in realizing its vision and mission to actively participate in developing science with a global perspective.
Color
Green, depicts an Islamic nuance. This color choice is to depict UIN Antasari Banjarmasin organizing Islamic science education;
Golden Yellow, depicts the excellence of education at UIN Antasari;
Blue, depicts clarity of thought, breadth of vision and views and clarity of direction of UIN Antasari’s goals.
